@  Rutherford : (21 May 2013 - 05:32) Tell your Chief of Police to tell it like it is. If the Feds weren't sharing info with BPD then they weren't sharing info with BPD.
@  Rutherford : (21 May 2013 - 05:31) Hey, Mike. We're both Eastern Conference next season. haha. Realignment. I hope it works out like the NFL did.
@  Rutherford : (21 May 2013 - 05:30) Yeah, Pitt's tuff. We traded Championships with them back to back. It'll be fine.
@  mik2713 : (21 May 2013 - 04:58) I too enjoyed sporting my Bergeron jersey around. Now if I could only get tix to MSG...
@  mik2713 : (21 May 2013 - 04:57) I talked w Crys via FB during Sens/Canadiens and Bs/Leafs. She's feeling it.
@  mik2713 : (21 May 2013 - 04:56) Bruins still gotta get by the Rangers, then most likely the absolutely stacked Penguins. then we'll see.
@  mik2713 : (21 May 2013 - 04:55) first and foremost, thoughts and prayers to the hundreds of victims and their families. a 2 1/4 mile wide possible F5 for 20 miles? holy crap. unreal.

@  Rutherford : (21 May 2013 - 03:51) I liked sporting my Wings jersey around town after we beat the Ducks... haha. The Pond is like 15 from my house and we travel well, the Wings do. Kind of like the Packers and Steelers fans.
@  Rutherford : (21 May 2013 - 03:49) @Mike yeah bro. First, we have to take care of Chicago. Next, I believe we will have to come to L.A. and dispose of the Champs. Then, maybe we'll see DET v. BOS. It's all talk till it happens though. Original 6 not too shabby. Glad you enjoyed the game.
@  bobo : (21 May 2013 - 03:46) Good 4U Mike! I have no idea what your post is about, but if it makes U happy, I'm glad!

Into the 5th round

Congrats to Petra, Maria, Victoria, Angelique, & especially Caroline, for her very unexpected win over
Nadia Petrova 7/6, 6/3. I really want to see that match later on the tennis channel. :sigh:

Very unexpected, as Agnieszka Radwanszka goes down to Kirilenko, of all people.

Think Vika meets Woz in quarters, one she should get through. Biggest threat would seem to be the Russian-AmerIcan, seems to me.

Bruce, It certainly looks that way..a Vika/Maria showdown seems inevitable at the moment. Maria took out Errani 7-6 and 6-2, Stosur to play Kerber and Vika and Caro square off. While I'm watching lots of men's tennis from Indian Wells, no women's stuff as yet but I would assume a semi-final and final match will be shown. Let's hope so.

Vika withdraws...apparently with an injury..saw a photo of her left thigh taped, also she cried while hugging Caro, lucky Caro...well I suppose its a legimitate injury but its happening too often IMO, also Stosur gave Kerber a walk/over. Masha must be dancing in the aisles.

Vika has an right ankle injury that had been bothering her since before the tournament began.

Sam pulled out because of a right calf injury.

For the semi-final it'll be Maria Sharapova/Maria Kirilenko & Caroline/Angelique.

Well, the big Gun turned out to be a cap pistol. Who's to blame?

Who am I pulling for in the final you ask??

Go Caroline!! :sigh: Or, Go Maria!! :xmas: Or, Go Angelique!! or, Go Kirilenko!! ^_^

In my personal order of preference of course.

IMO...All 4 practitioners of pulchritude are 100% U.S.D.A. approved! ^_^

Very disappointed about Vika, but she can't play injured--guess that exhib against Muscles mania wasn't such a good idea.

It's going to be harder in Miami with her in that mix.

Well, the lookers brigade is left, so my pref would be Woz, then Kirilenko.

Hummmm! A back injury didn't keep Federer from competing even though it was a sub-par performance (he couldn't practice in the afternoon) but I guess pride and courage had something to do with it. Injuries are part and parcel of any sport, Vika as a young gal needs to do more off-court training, Martina loved to roller skate, maybe she needs to go on a rowing machine to strengthen her legs however once you start the WTA season, there is hardly time to do any extra stuff...so keeping fit is a primary concern to be able to compete at your highest level. I don't think that today's athletes are willing to commit to the hard grind of extra curricular training, seems there is a lot more "pussy cats" than tigers out there!

Hi Lois,

Well, I guess at times there are those players that give themselves "The Bums Rush". And only they know
how deserving they may be.

If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.... of bugging out. Just pass up the tourney, and save some poor fan a bundle.

Many of those tickets that the fans send for, or stand in line for, go for close to $1000.00 to $2000.00 each.
And that ain't hay! Many buy those tickets in the hopes of seeing one or two particular players. No wonder
they may express extreme anger when a favorite bugs out. I don't blame em.

For the Semi's, and the Final..

Maria Sharapova gives the "Bums Rush" to Kirilenko 6/4, 6/3. :sigh:

And Caroline guts her way through in 3 tough sets over Angelique Kerber 6/2, 4/6, 5/7.

This is the best iv'e seen Caro play in the last couple of years. Her doggedness and ability to hit great shots when it counts is quite similar to that of Sharapova. Some of those long ralleys were the best i've seen in years.

The final will be a promoters dream come true, with gals of "Playboy Quality" on both sides of the net. :sigh:

And, this doesn't happen very often.

I'd be satisfied to see either gal win. ^_^

I would have expected you to go with the order of hotness, which would be Kirilenko  , Caroline  , Angelique  , Maria  . Of course Maria needs about a quart of makeup to cover up her zits. The others do not. And that she is the most unpopular player in the locker room because of her "sunny personality" is well known. And then there is the shrieking(ie. cheating) on every point. Bobo would disqualify her in the best interests of tennis! :P

Hi Bobo...I did!!

It's Maria :sigh: as she does the "Kazatski" on Carolines skull 6/2, 6/2.

And we all know what the Kazatski is don't we? It's like the "Bums Rush" on steroids! :w00t:

But I think that "Sweet Pea" :sigh: did a pretty good job regardless of the final outcome, and has nothing
to be ashamed of considering her overall performance at Indian Wells. This is the best she's played in over a year.
Hope she can build on it.

The final won't be shown on the tennis channel until 5pm this afternoon. I can't wait to see it.

John, While I did watch the first set, the ball bashing became exactly that....just 'ball bashing' of course Maria is well deserving of the title, but for every ball she 'bashed in' 2 went out, and Caro once again, cannot return the ball to either side of the court...it goes robotically back to the sender (Maria) who returns the ball to either the far left or the far right, something Caro can't seem to do....big mental block that will not enhance her chances of improving her game one iota. However, I did leave this "thrilling" match to watch the figure skating World Championship held in London, Ontario and saw a performance by the first place winner Kim from Korea that was absolutely spectacular...Just flawless got the hightest points ever achieved in figure skating so glad I at least saw that great skate.

Shame on Vica for being injured and Serena for not playing, thus allowing this ball bashing stiff to win by default, beating the pushing stiff!. Bobo did not watch. He did watch the mens' final, which was great! :P

Hi Bob!!

Not to worry, Madam Schwarzenegger will take to the Miami court shortly, to administer the "Bums Rush" to all pretenders to the throne, and all done with nary a screetch I might add! :lookaround:
